Chromesthesia, 2023.

By medical definition, Chromesthesia is “A type of synesthesia in which a nonvisual stimulus causes the individual to perceive colour.” (Medicine net, 2021.) To encapsulate their experience with chromesthesia, Feast explored the wonders of the unconscious mind by attempting to replicate the ethereal and unpredictable imagery that their brain concocks.

It may not just be colours they see within the confines of their self consciousness. It extends out into seeing more vibrant narrative scenes within the confines of their imagination.  Music, for them, involuntarily triggers this type of visual synesthesia.

“Chromesthesia” was shown at Dareshack in January 2023.
